Grading Policies
Grade Constitution
Final grades in this course will be constituted according to the following formula:
- map quizzes (2) 10%
- video reports (2) 10%
- mid-term exam 20%
- term paper 25%
- final exam 20%
- class participation and attendance 15%
The midterm and final exams and the term paper are mandatory; anyone not completing these cannot receive a passing grade in the course, regardless of grade standing.
Grade Scale
The grading scale employed in this class to evaluate all examinations, papers, essays, quiz, etc., is as follows:
| A | = 92-100 |
| B+ | = 87-91 |
| B | = 82-86 |
| C+ | = 77-81 |
| C | = 72-76 |
| D | = 60-72 |
| F | = 0-59 |
